Meta Platforms, Inc. is looking to resolve and diagnose server issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with engineering teams to help build out and enable cloud scale compute and storage environments.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work to resolve and diagnose server issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with engineering teams.
  • Work within the rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and enable cloud scale compute and storage environments.
  • Work within Meta's ticketing system in support of the health of Meta's server fleet.
  • Serve as first point of contact for break fix technicians.
  • Assist with projects (new capacity as well as retrofits) and repairs throughout the data center.
  • Understand and perform initial analysis to debug hardware and Linux OS related issues.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership by Identifying and helping to create documentation for the global data center knowledge base.

Other

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Completion of a graduate-level course, research project, or internship involving Linux and server hardware repairs, networking, programming/scripting, or hardware and OS repair
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Assist with process improvements and best practices in data center operations
