Electrolux is looking to provide students with relevant technical experience in a manufacturing environment while they further their education through the SKY FAME Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program.
Requirements
- Strong aptitude for computer technology, tools, and solutions
- MS Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Responsibilities
- AMTs will learn safety policies and practices and will always be expected to comply with those policies and practices.
- AMTs may rotate between departments/areas at management’s discretion. Areas may include, and are not limited to, maintenance, process technology, tooling, automation, and/or other areas as assigned.
- Training and hands-on experience are the priorities of the on-the-job training (OJT).
- AMTs will be responsible for recording their daily OJT experiences in a logbook and submit a weekly OJT report to the Training Facilitator.
- AMTs will meet weekly with the Training Facilitator to ensure objectives are on target for successful completion of the program.
- Participate in Electrolux training, as required
Other
- Must work a minimum of 24 hours and maintain full time student status for a minimum of 16 credit hours and commit to attend school year-round.
- Must be enrolled in the SKY FAME program.
- SKY FAME students must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average for the entirety of the Advanced Manufacturing Technician program and must adhere to all guidelines from the SKYFAME by-laws.
- Strong critical thinking: problem solving, analyzing, and examining skills to find the best solutions to various situations
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; extensive internal/external client interaction is an everyday part of the position
- Willingness to work any shift as assigned, including days, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends. Training Facilitator will develop work schedules to complement Scholars’ school schedule.
