Siemens is looking to solve the business problem of creating resilient and sustainable infrastructure by developing smart infrastructure solutions that connect the real and digital worlds, making energy systems and processes in buildings and industries more efficient and sustainable through data and analytics.

Requirements

  • Skilled in any of the following: 3D CAD, additive manufacturing, circuit design, embedded systems, microcontrollers, testing, C, or Python

Responsibilities

  • Applying your classroom knowledge to address real-world challenges and launch smart power distribution systems and energy-efficient solutions that keep cities growing, businesses flourishing, and people safe.
  • Working on projects related to the development of low voltage and control products for intelligent electrical power distribution and switching.
  • Participating in a wide range of functions that may include product design and product management, feasibility analysis, manufacturing and quality assurance, project management, or applications engineering.

Other

  • Undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (must be a student at the time of the internship).
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) from May to August.
  • Must be willing and able to relocate for the summer (relocation assistance will be provided if relocation more than 50 miles from your permanent address) and travel as needed.
  • Organized, self-motivated, dedicated to quality and excellence with acute attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • GPA: 3.0 or higher.
