Outward Hound needs to produce thumb-stopping, pet-centric content that converts awareness into retailer traffic and community advocacy across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Requirements
- Expert in CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar.
- Understanding the nuances and best practices of various platforms like X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others is crucial.
- Proficiency in writing, editing, and producing engaging text, photos, and videos for social media
- Skill in creating visually appealing and branded graphics and social media assets
- Experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom
- Understanding target audience demographics, interests, and behaviors is essential for creating relevant content
- 3+ years creating social-first video content
Responsibilities
- Ideate, film, and edit 3–5 short-form videos per week featuring our products and pet talent.
- Own the content calendar, including retailer-exclusive drops timed to in-store resets.
- Track trends, hashtags, and audio memes; pitch reactive content within 24-hour windows.
- Partner with influencers, manage product seeding, and amplify high-performing UGC.
- Report reach, engagement, and traffic lifts; A/B test hooks, captions, and CTAs.
- Develop, curate, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos, etc.) across social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- Run social media ad campaigns, managing budgets, and optimizing campaigns for maximum reach and engagement.
