Business Insider is looking to distribute videos across various social networks and ensure their episodes reach their viewers.
Requirements
- Work experience with one or more social media platforms
- Experience in packaging stories for publication
- Familiarity with digital and social media
- Proofreading and copyediting skills
Responsibilities
- Upload and distribute fresh videos daily across all Business Insider channels on social platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok
- Generate compelling headlines, copy, and descriptions that grab the audience's attention and convey the essence of the video or story
- Create thumbnails using Photoshop to optimize visual appeal and click-through rates
- Ensure timely distribution of breaking news videos and stories across relevant social channels
- Recirculating dozens of evergreen archive videos per day
Other
- Fellows are assigned to teams and become experts in digital storytelling.
- They produce real work that is distributed to our audience of millions, and by the end of six months, they are prepared for the next phase of their journalism careers.
- This paid role requires you to work for 40 hours a week.
- Fellowships can be hybrid, and we expect New York-based fellows to come into our offices at least twice per week.
- The ideal fellow must be an independent worker.
- Note: this is NOT a video editing or production role.
- This fellow will report directly to the Senior Audience Engagement Producer and is required to work at least two days per week out of Business Insider's New York City bureau.
