POOLCORP is looking to solve system and data issues reported by users, and resolve software operational problems in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years operation knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system functionality, including Sales Order Entry, Inventorying, Purchasing, Distribution, Financial, Accounting, etc.
- Working knowledge of UNIX (AIX), NT and Windows, data networking, Unidata Query, Basic, System Builder 4GL software, SB Report Writer and programming techniques.
- Ability to absorb and implement new technologies.
- Knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.
- Experience with computer programs and software support
- Familiarity with IT support systems and technologies
- Understanding of software development and testing methodologies
Responsibilities
- Communicate with distribution system users to get details of issues, attempt to reproduce and isolate errors, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to perform various system functions.
- Work with vendors, Application Administrator or Software Analysts to plan, develop, test, and document computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.
- Ensure service level agreements with vendors are documented, measured, and reported by proactively managing and tracking the open “glitch” list.
- Interact with hardware, UNIX, network, and other IT support staff to research problems and find solutions.
- Assist in researching new technologies and recommend and/or apply these to solve business problems.
- Attempt to reproduce and isolate errors
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or proven and progressive success in Information Technology or software support responsibilities.
- Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Good personal organizational skills.
- Ability to help lead and coordinate projects and functions.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
