Nidec Aerospace is looking to support the aerospace industry in its ambitious transition to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 by developing electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircrafts.
Requirements
- Experience in New Product Development and Phase-Gate processes
- Experience in software development according DO178C
- Experience in software model-based design
- Experience in firmware development according DO254
- Experience in requirements management and V&V process
- Experience in handling issues with certification authorities
- Experience in modelling
Responsibilities
- Lead the software/firmware engineering effort.
- Plan and coordinate software and firmware development activities with suppliers, customers as well as internal Nidec Aerospace personnel.
- Monitoring of software/firmware supplier activities Review and approval of software/firmware deliverables.
- Definition of development assurance plans, procedures, work instructions and tools
- Capture of software and firmware requirements
- Communication and alignment with Certification Authorities
- Provide guidance concerning compliance to DO178C, DO254, DO330 and DO331.
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s or PhD’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
- 7 years of experience in software/firmware process assurance and/or software/firmware development
- Willingness to work with, and travel to, domestic and international design and manufacturing locations when necessary.
