Intel's Foundry Automation group is seeking an experienced Software Application Development Engineer - Government Programs to drive the requirements, development, qualifications, and deployment of factory automation capabilities for process, metrology, and material handling system equipment in Assembly factories, aiming to optimize output, cycle time, and equipment utilization.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in software design/development on tools such as Visual Studio, .Net Framework, WCF, WPF, XML, Oracle/MS SQL databases.
- 1+ years of experience in graphical UI development experience.
- Experience using Applied Materials' Advanced Productivity Family (APF).
- Experience in at least one of the following: CPLEX Optimization. Studio, ILOG Optimization Programming Language (OPL) Studio, Python Pandas, NumPy, SciPy.
- Experience with applying decision science tools to manufacturing systems and network flow problems.
- Program languages, scripting languages, data mining, visualization, or factory simulation tools.
- Software engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Analyze prototypes and experiment with factory-wide planning, scheduling and dispatching algorithms and solutions that optimize output, cycle time, and equipment utilization with environmental requirements and constraints throughout the factory.
- Develop proof of concepts and initial pilots utilizing heuristics, optimization, statistical analysis, data mining and machine learning methods to solve novel and diverse manufacturing decision problems.
- Work with automation and manufacturing engineers to create algorithms that optimize factory performance in various scenarios.
- Interact with manufacturing engineers, factory planners, industrial engineers, and automation engineers to create integrated solutions that improve manufacturing output and productivity.
- Drive fundamental improvements in leading edge scheduling, execution control, and dispatching capabilities in pursuit of advance packaging technology and manufacturing leadership for Intel.
- Design, development, delivery, and support of Production Activity Control automation and analytics solutions for Package and Test manufacturing facilities.
