Texas A&M University's Technology Services is looking to support the university's Public Policy Research Institute (PPRI), working on the Texas Indigent Defense Commission (TIDC) and Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) projects by developing and maintaining web-based applications.
Requirements
- Advanced skills in ASP.NET C-Sharp, PHP/Laravel, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Advanced skills in database design, querying, and administration, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL
- Experience with version control systems, such as GitHub.com
- Responsive web design best practices
- Basic familiarity with Classic ASP for purposes of conversion
- Knowledge of project management
- Ability to solve problems and recommend alternative methods
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain our web-based applications
- Provide technical assistance to our customers
- Document systems procedures and guidelines
- Actively participate in quality assurance
- Participate in collaborative team software design
- Meet with customers and technical staff to determine their needs and requirements
- Engage in IT trainings and professional development activities

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience AND 3 years of software development experience
