The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Applications Engineer to provide critical support for a suite of essential applications, including troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing these applications to ensure their continued reliability and performance.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), including troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience with Java and Tomcat
- Experience with Cloud Azure and AWS environments
- Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) with CAC authentication
- Programming experience with Visual Studio
- Programming experience with SQL database backends
- DoD 8570 Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher
Responsibilities
- Provide primary support for the following applications: CAFM (Java/Tomcat), CDRLvue (Microsoft Visual Studio, ASPX, SQL database), Escheduler (Microsoft Visual Studio, ASPX, SQL database), Empower (Perl scripting, GUI, SQL database)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Maintain and optimize Java and Tomcat environments
- Develop and maintain SQL database backends
- Implement and support Single Sign-On (SSO) with CAC authentication
- Utilize and maintain Cloud Azure and AWS environments
- Participate in late-night maintenance windows to support patching and system updates
Other
- Must have 5, or more, years of direct Software Engineering experience
- Must have an active DoD secret Security Clearance
- Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time
- Must be willing to work late night maintenance windows to support patching
- Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
