SLB's Software Technology Innovation Center (STIC) is looking for an experienced software engineer to drive innovation projects in the Foundations Lab, building prototypes, de-risking solution ideas, and innovating with emerging technologies for the Energy Industry.
Requirements
- Demonstrable, hands-on skills in at least two of the main themes of the Foundations Lab which include: Databases and data platforms, RAG, LLMs & AI agents, Distributed system architectures, ML & MLOps., Cloud & Kubernetes, Large scale data systems
- Software development best practices.
- Experience with cloud environments such as GCP, Azure and AWS.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in technical areas related to cloud computing, distributed computing, ML Engineering, natural language processing, database systems, security, data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Generate innovative ideas, establish new technology development directions, and shape and execute technical projects.
- Work with AI engineers to integrate ML solutions in the wider technology landscape.
- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and contribute to technical discussions and reviews as an expert in related areas of responsibility.
- Actively disseminate knowledge via webinars, talks and tutorials for the technical community within SLB.
- Work across multiple cross-functional teams in high-visibility roles to prototype end-to-end data and software solutions.
- Apply best practices in software design, DevOps, coding, testing, security and automation.
- Willingness to provide technical, social, and practical mentorship guidance to others as needed.
