Parsons is seeking a Project Manager – Software Automation to lead the delivery of large-scale automation software implementations, ensuring successful integration, adoption, and compliance of automation systems within FAA operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years managing software implementation projects in large, mission-critical environments.
- Proven experience with automation systems and systems integration.
- Experience implementing FAA automation or aviation-related software.
- Projects supporting air traffic management, safety, or surveillance systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning and execution of automation software projects, from development to operational transition.
- Build and oversee project plans, budgets, milestones, and risk management approaches.
- Coordinate integration, testing, training, and deployment activities.
- Serve as the primary FAA interface for software implementation readiness.
- Lead change management and communications to support user adoption.
- Track progress, resolve issues, and provide status updates to leadership and FAA stakeholders.

- This position is hybrid and based on customer needs, the successful candidate should expect frequent, and at times short-notice, on-site requirements at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC.
- For this reason, only those located within a 100-mile radius of FAA Headquarters will be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- PMP or PgMP certification
