ERPA is seeking a talented Software Cloud Engineer to configure and implement migration environments for migrating on-premise workloads to GCP, including rehosting servers from VMware to Google Cloud.
Requirements
- Infrastructure automation tool Terraform.
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine, VPC, Load Balancers and IAM
- Control and management of users, groups and roles in GCP IAM as per IAM best practices.
- Generate reports for cloud fit and financial analysis to provide insights into cloud readiness, potential savings from cloud, consumption strategies including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
- Perform an assessment to identify assets that qualify for migration to platform as a service in GCP. Based on this assessment guided customers to choose PaaS services on GCP thus reducing the TCO.
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement migration environment for migrating on premise workloads to GCP
- Migrate on prem servers from VMware environment to google cloud using rehost(lift and shift) strategy.
- Configure and implemented stratozone to discover on premise servers, assesse servers to prepare for cloud migration.
- Implement best security practices on cloud.
- Create and implemented org policies, firewall rules across projects and configured static routes.
- Create VPCs, subnets and shared them to service projects from host project.
- Create GKE clusters in production and dev environments.
