Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to join a team creating software for analysis of Missile Defense test data across multiple environments for MDA/IC.
Requirements
- Experience writing Microsoft Windows-based software, optimizing software through modern object-oriented design patterns, and applying technologies such as Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) is strongly preferred.
- Experience developing Windows applications using .Net/C-Sharp
- Experience developing software tools using Visual Studio
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.
- Plan, conduct and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects.
- The position will require the development of graphical user interfaces (GUIs), data processing routines, analytical algorithms, REST services, and some database design and automation.
- Candidate will support production systems and manage incidents by researching, coordinating resources, and communicating solutions with Information Technology and Business Staff to determine root cause of problems and solutions.
- Strictly enforces data integrity, data security, and data privacy by reviewing security announcements, performing periodic audits and apply solutions.
- The candidate will have the opportunity to develop frameworks supporting multiple technologies across MDA/IC.

- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 8 or more years of applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience
- Active secret security clearance
