The business problem that Sensata is looking to solve is the design, development, testing, and deployment of computer software to implement various internal software packages relating directly to electrical engineering requirements.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Handles analog and digital hardware and software operating systems
- Position requires knowledge and exposure to hardware design
- Writes code using lower-level assembly languages and/or higher-level languages and translating/compiling into machine language for use on specific hardware
- Supports software testing, deployment, and maintenance activities by correcting programming errors and coding software enhancements
- Handles software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
- Develops complex software in selected languages for Sensata products and/or applications
Responsibilities
- Handles the developing of complex software in selected languages for Sensata products and/or applications consistently following Sensata’s coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes
- Introduces new development of software to control external hardware for automated test equipment and other applicable development
- Handles software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
- Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionality as part of a software project
- Handles participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
- Analyzes the existing software and improving the processes
- Handles the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communication
Other
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
