Yahoo Mail is looking to solve the problem of protecting its hundreds of millions of users from spam, phishing, fraud, and abuse with advanced ML/AI algorithms.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with a strong understanding of the fundamentals including Data Structures, Algorithms, OS, and Networking
- 3+ years experience in software development with Java or C++ or Golang
- Experience with public cloud technologies (GCP, AWS)
- Experience with big data technologies like AirFlow, DataProc, HBase, and Spark
- Previous exposure to anti-spam or anti-abuse engineering
- Familiarity with data mining, text processing, and classification algorithms
- Proficiency in statistical methods and exploratory data analysis
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performing systems that reliably protect users from spam, phishing, fraud, and abuse
- Design and develop advanced ML/AI algorithms
- Work on architecture design, algorithm development, and data engineering
- Troubleshoot and debug systems with performance tuning experience
- Develop software with Java or C++ or Golang
- Work with public cloud technologies (GCP, AWS)
- Implement big data technologies like AirFlow, DataProc, HBase, and Spark
