Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is reimagining cloud networking to be more secure, scalable, and performant. As a Software Development Engineer on the DRG gateways team, you will contribute to the systems that route most customer traffic in and out of the Oracle Cloud.
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, C, Java, Python).
- Basic understanding of distributed systems, networking concepts, or cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices: version control, testing, code reviews.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy well-structured and maintainable code in a distributed networking stack.
- Implement enhancements and bug fixes to routing and networking-related systems, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with teammates on design reviews, code reviews, testing, and operational support.
- Participate in operational monitoring and on-call rotations to gain real-world experience with highly available cloud systems.
- Write clear documentation and contribute to runbooks, tools, and test automation for improved team velocity.
- Actively seek feedback and mentorship to continuously grow your technical and professional skills.
Other
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience, including internships or co-ops.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.
