The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking an experienced Software Developer 3 to perform systems analysis and design, recommend application solutions, and contribute to high-quality outcomes in the Information Technology Services Section.

Requirements

  • Core undergraduate program in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of four years combined work experience in any combination of designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing, debugging, and code review, and assisting with analysis and design
  • 2 years technology related work experience
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, C-Sharp, Azure, and related tools
  • Experience with agile methodologies and version control systems
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and containerization

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable systems, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Participate in technical evaluations, code reviews, and performance assessments, providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster growth.
  • Promote best practices in coding, debugging, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, to understand technical roadmaps and guide strategic decisions.
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement preventive measures to enhance system reliability and uptime.
  • Design, develop, and maintain web services, leveraging knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Reinforce proficiency in the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, C-Sharp, Azure, and related tools, to deliver high-quality solutions.
