OCI Sovereign Realms Operations team is looking for a system engineer to develop new services and features into their secured control centers, ensuring the success of system engineering that supports partner operations teams in administering secure cloud realms.
Requirements
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Strong TCP/IP networking skills.
- Strong programming/scripting experience.
- Experience with managing secure services across distributed systems and geographies.
- Experience with cloud networking and software driven networks.
- Strong experience coding or scripting using a major programming language.
- Experience deploying code within change management procedures.
Responsibilities
- Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall characteristics of production systems and services.
- Responsible for the design and delivery of mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance.
- Partner with other development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture.
- Articulate technical details of services and guide teams that engineer to add capabilities to the operations centers.
- Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack.
- Demonstrate clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles.
- Shepherd the deployment of code into high security environments.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer related field, or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains and then train others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship Required
