Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Software Developer to modernize legacy software tools and develop new tools to support product design, testing, and validation for the Standard Solutions group at Solar Turbines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with C and .NET programming framework
- hands-on experience in database design (Oracle or SQL).
- Experience in modernizing legacy software tools.
- Knowledge of agile software development methodologies, user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) designs.
Responsibilities
- Work with the technical architect, business analyst, and stakeholders to develop and implement modern software tools to support product design, testing and validation.
- Develop detailed technical designs and project plans.
- Implement solutions to enable robust, efficient, and secure software performance.
- Mentor, train, and develop team members to upgrade existing software tools and develop new tools.
Other
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- The ability to effectively communicate with end users and business leaders.
- A sense of urgency and organizational skills are required to work with multiple projects and competing priorities.
- This position requires working onsite five days a week.
