The Center for Online and Continuing Education at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Software Developer to support the design and development of information solutions that promote and support quality online courses. This involves programming, scripting, and contextualizing the unit’s information, processes, and data, as well as gathering, analyzing, visualizing, and reporting solutions for the unit.

Requirements

  • Experience with multiple computer systems, programming languages, and collaborative platforms is required.
  • Experience with business analytics and object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of or experience with Maya, Blender, Cinema4D, Game Designer, and Unity is a plus
  • Microsoft Office Suite (including Forms, Automate, PowerApps); Web Conferencing tools including Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx & Zoom
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop); Javascript, HTML, CSS; Studio Video Production Software (OBS, Video Switchers)
  • Assisting in hardware and software training and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for data visualization and weekly reporting of operational data.
  • Design and program web apps that make departmental data readily available to the Executive Directors as needed.
  • Serve on the development team to create and maintain COCE database and tracking tools.
  • Design and program desktop apps to increase productivity and access to information as assigned.
  • Develop data visualization for reports related to the Board of Governors' progress on the 2025 Quality Plan.
  • Programming, scripting, and contextualizing the unit’s information, processes, and data.
  • Automating workflows and approval processes to creating 2D & 3D simulations for innovative training solutions
