UNITE HERE seeks a Software Developer to build, integrate, and support software tools to enable the union's campaigns, transitioning to an in-house development team.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, including pandas and Jupyter notebooks, and other high-level programming languages
- Experience using source control such as Git on a team project
- Experience using APIs to move data between systems.
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, CIVIS, Tableau, IBM Cognos Analytics or Salesforce to build reports
- Hands-on experience with software development and its technologies
Responsibilities
- In the support, maintenance, and new development of the data warehouse, related databases and reporting systems:
- Collaborate with team members and clients to support required applications
- Create and implement design plans
- Communicate development plans, progress and risks
- Keep up to date with industry trends and technology developments.
Other
- Motivation to work for economic and social justice
- Degree in information technology or computer science, or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel occasionally
