ISO New England is seeking to ensure the safe and reliable flow of electricity in their region and plan for the future of the electric grid, particularly in the context of the ongoing transition to clean energy. The Real-Time Market Application team needs functional and technical expertise to support critical business functions related to the wholesale electricity market.
Requirements
- Programming skills in Java and Oracle technologies required
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, DevOps, GitOps, and Docker technologies is preferred
- Working experience in electric utilities, ISOs, or RTOs
- Working knowledge of bulk power systems and energy market operations
- Experience with GE Grid (formerly Alstom) MMS/EMS or similar products
- Knowledge of optimization algorithms
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, troubleshoot, and implement fixes associated with Real-Time Market Systems and related applications
- Plan, coordinate, and perform complex technical assignments related to software applications in support of the Operations, Market Administration, Internal Market Mitigation, and Outage Scheduling groups
- Provide production support for various internal and external-facing applications
- Coordinate with consultants and vendors on project deliverables
- Integrate software solutions across multiple applications, systems, and databases
- Follow Change Management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies and procedures
