Modernize a large commercial engineering application used by companies around the world to ensure the stability of electrical grids for Siemens Industry, Inc.
Requirements
- SQL query language
- Object-oriented programming fundamentals
- Delphi programming language and environment or other object-oriented programming languages
- Databases such as Firebird open-source database, Microsoft SQL Server, or others
- Experience with database schema and migration
- Experience with Delphi component that manages database, data transfer, and algorithms
- Experience with SQL Database applications
Responsibilities
- Assist the Engineering team on a large, complex software code base
- Work with Delphi component that manages database, data transfer, and algorithms
- Write code in the Delphi programming language to provide an interface to enter relay protection data into the program and database
- Work on database queries in SQL query language and manage data in Firebird and SQL Database applications
- Assist with database schema and migration
- Work with technical customers from around the globe helping them solve critical electrical grid infrastructure problems
- Provide an interface to enter relay protection data into the program and database
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Remote/Office)
- Ability to work with technical customers from around the globe
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
