UFP Industries is seeking a skilled Web Developer to help drive their web development projects, requiring expertise in modern web technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable web applications.
Requirements
- Proficiency in primary programming languages (e.g., C-Sharp, JavaScript).
- Experience with relevant backend frameworks and tools (e.g., ASP.NET Core, Node.js).
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
- Familiarity of database technologies (SQL/Microsoft SQL Server) and experience with Entity Framework.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines).
- Preferred experience with cloud platforms (Azure).
- Preferred familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Docker, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end systems for our web applications.
- Contribute to front-end development of web applications
- Consult with clients and web team to understand visual concepts, formatting requirements, end-user needs and company brand and image to develop a strategy for building website components
- Take on complex and critical projects that require architectural design work, advanced technical and problem-solving skills, and often cross-functional collaboration.
- Gather insight/requirements from Business Analysts and end users
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions
- Accurately estimate time and materials needed for assigned projects

- This position is a full-time, onsite position, based out of Grand Rapids, MI (not a remote position).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional web development experience
- Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
- Ability to successfully interact and communicate with all organizational levels and the public, including leading large-scale presentations to audiences with varying technical skills
