Requirements
- Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and IDMS.
- Experience with batch and online transaction processing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Experience with mainframe modernization efforts, such as API development, replatforming, or data migration.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, automated testing).
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M) and change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow).
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for critical mainframe applications supporting U.S. CCG operations.
- Develop and implement enhancements and fixes to improve functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide timely response and resolution to production issues.
- Collaborate closely with business partners and IT teams in Pittsburgh to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives, including system refactoring, API enablement, and integration with distributed platforms.
- Support change management, release coordination, and documentation activities.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise development standards, security guidelines, and operational best practices.
