The People IT team within Cisco IT needs a Data Engineer to support the guiding principles and variety of HR objectives/outcomes for the company, focusing on simplicity and the best customer experience.
Requirements
- Proficient in the use of business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Experience with managing GCP, AWS based cloud data architecture
- Experience with Prism Analytics solution along with experience with data modeling and datawarehouse concepts.
- Experience with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with HR Domain
- Proficiency in Workday ecosystem
- GCP/AWS Certified professional
Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis: Work closely with HR Partners to gather and analyze requirements for reporting needs. Conduct thorough business process analysis to see opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Documentation: Build detailed and clear documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support decision-making processes and ensure data integrity within applications. Identify data-driven insights to enhance application functionality and user experience.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively find opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Stay informed about industry standard methodologies and technological advancements to contribute to the evolution of the application engineering process.
- Business Intelligence: Work with various BI solutions in creating compelling data driven stories for our leaders and executives.
- Act as a liaison between our partners and engineering team, ensuring clear and effective communication. Collaborate with developers, designers, and quality assurance teams to facilitate the successful delivery of software solutions.
- Work with various applications on technology stack like Oracle, MongoDB, Snowflake, Elastic, Kafka, Mulesoft, both On-prem and in Cloud.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst/Engineer in an application engineering or software development environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team, collaborating with empathy to make really big things happen on a global scale.
