Crossing Hurdles is looking for a Developer Experience and Productivity Engineer to help engineers move faster, automate manual work, and improve quality by designing, implementing, and scaling tools and processes, and leveraging AI to enhance engineering productivity.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience creating developer environments (Docker, devcontainers, docker-compose, native)
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Go, or similar)
- Experience working with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale tools and processes that help engineers move faster, automate manual work, and improve quality (local dev environments, CLI tools, code generation, linting, security scans, dependency updates)
- Leverage AI and AI-driven tools to make engineering teams among the most productive in the industry
- Partner with frontend and backend engineers to identify bottlenecks, debug workflow issues, and roll out scalable solutions
- Standardize development environments using best practices and improve testing strategies
- Continuously improve developer workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and productivity guardrails across teams

- Background in platform engineering, developer productivity, or related roles
