AMEWAS is seeking a Software Developer (Guardian)-Journeyman to develop software for a safety-critical UAV Detect and Avoid system, supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing cutting-edge engineering, testing, and evaluation for U.S. Navy weapons systems.
Requirements
- Experience with scripting, database and programming in C++
- Experience with GIT or equivalent configuration management tools
- Experience in MS Visual Studio or QT graphical user interface IDEs
- The ability to understand mathematical algorithms and convert them programmatically into readable and maintainable code
- Experience with Python or Java programming languages
- Experience with the Linux operating system
- Experience in IT
Responsibilities
- Develops software for a fully documented DO-278 standard safety critical UAV Detect and Avoid system
- Supports software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrations
- Demonstrates a knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns and object-oriented software design
- Evaluates and reviews C++ language code
