Esri is looking to expand the capabilities of its Maps SDK for JavaScript, aiming to make GIS more accessible and powerful across all platforms and devices by pushing the boundaries of web GIS.
Requirements
- 1+ years of practical experience in software development
- Excellent programming skills in a modern programming language
- Strong background in software design and architecture
- Experience with JavaScript and or TypeScript
- Experience with advance technologies, such as Web Components, WebGL, WebGPU, Workers, WebAssembly, or Webpack
- Experience with API design
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new software components for the ArcGIS API for JavaScript, spanning a wide range of topics, such as web service consumption, data processing and analysis, core library functionality, mapping, and rendering
- Assume a leading role in the public API design and documentation
- Advise in matters of software architecture and engineering
- Apply and promote good software engineering practices, such as test automation, modularization, and simplification
- Evolve and maintain our build process, test automation infrastructure, and other custom tooling
