The client is seeking a Software Developer to support the design, engineering, analysis, and development of software systems and DevOps pipelines for Federal, State, and Local Government agencies, the U.S. Military, and private-sector clients.
Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of IT asset management principles and best practices (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM)
Responsibilities
- Supports the design, engineering, analysis, and development of software systems and DevOps pipelines.
- Assists in modeling software development processes and implementing agile-informed methodologies.
- Participates in all phases of the SDLC, focusing on writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Integrates asset management tools with the ITSM platform, develops APIs, designs data models/database schemas, and creates data import/export routines.
- Generates reports/dashboards, troubleshoots software issues, provides technical support, stays updated on new technologies, and receives guidance from senior staff.
