Colorado PERA is looking for a Software Developer II to design, develop, maintain, and resolve issues within their software systems, ensuring they meet user requirements and business needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with front-end frameworks and libraries using JavaScript, Angular, CSS, HTML, and Bootstrap
  • Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • 3+ years of experience with Java, Servlets, JavaBeans, and Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) and experience with Red Hat JBoss EAP is preferred.
  • Experience with containerized environments including Docker and OpenShift is a plus
  • Skilled in object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) and applying software development patterns
  • Proficient in SQL development with Oracle and DB2 databases
  • Minimum three years of development experience with Java and Angular

Responsibilities

  • Involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, development, maintenance, and problem resolution.
  • Works with end users and customers to determine software requirements and analyze those requirements for feasibility and practicality.
  • Develops project sizing and work estimates, and writes software specification documents and recommends enhancements.
  • Collaborates with the IT team on software deployment activities.
  • Interview stakeholders to identify requirements, design, and develop system specifications
  • Implements solutions to meet defined specifications and user needs
  • Application troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, and resolution

  • A Software Developer II is responsible for communicating project status to stakeholders and training end users in software use.
  • Actively engages on project teams working toward shared goals while mentoring and developing less experienced team members.
  • Keeps abreast of modern software development standards and technologies.
  • Strong background in UX design implementation and responsive web design for cross-device compatibility
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver independently while collaborating across teams and stakeholders
