The Creativity Applications team at Apple is looking for a full-stack Software Developer in Test to contribute to the production of innovative tools for creative professionals, video makers and visual storytellers, and to ensure the quality of iOS/macOS apps, cloud based frameworks and APIs.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one of the following two areas: Testing mobile/desktop apps, cloud based frameworks, and backend/APIs (At least one modern web framework: React, Angular or Ember)
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology and processes
- Programming in Swift and/or Python to prototype features, and create and test with internal tools
- Experience with photo, video, film and cloud editing is a plus
- Understand system interdependencies
- Bug detection, isolation, and regression skill
- Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines
Responsibilities
- Planning, designing, writing, maintaining and executing test cases manually and through automation using Swift, Python or JavaScript
- Driving all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers
- Reporting bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques
- Balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically
- Working closely with other team members to help coordinate multi-functional test efforts
- Contributing to the production of innovative tools for creative professionals, video makers and visual storytellers
- Testing mobile/desktop apps, cloud based frameworks, and backend/APIs
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent of 5 plus years relevant experience required
- 2-5 years of experience in QA/QE
- Minimum of 1+ years experience as a Software Engineer in Test
- Analytical, methodical, inquisitive and persistent problem solver committed to driving quality forward
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skill (oral and written)
