The Midtier Platform team within the SAS9 division is seeking a Software Developer, specializing in Java/Spring, to help build and maintain the core platform that supports all SAS9 web-based products. The team focuses on securing and modernizing the platform, improving quality and performance, and resolving field-reported issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing scalable, enterprise-grade software systems.
- Proficient in Java and Spring, with development experience on both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Solid background in large-scale, web-based enterprise application development.
- Skilled in modern development tools and methodologies, including Git, GitHub, Gerrit, and CVS.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
- Knowledge of the SAS 9 product line and middle tier architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions in Java on Windows and Linux, adhering to R&D best practices and timelines.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and product teams to ensure solutions meet functional requirements and quality standards.
- Participate in design, code, and documentation reviews.
- Implement automated unit, functional, and performance testing to ensure software reliability.
- Support the full software lifecycle, including maintenance and technical assistance for internal and external users.
- Participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS.
- Ensure that all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.
