The Population Research Center at UT Austin is seeking a programmer to assist with developing and maintaining tools for research studies, including natural language processing, speech emotion recognition, cognitive games, and data analysis tools. They also need to maintain a website for scheduling research assistant training.
Requirements
- Experience with Git and source control management.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, and React.
- Experience with web applications and sprints.
- Experience with creating Python environments (conda).
- Experience with web development.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with Firebase and Tabby.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the natural language processing tools, speech emotion recognition, and cognitive games that are used within the research studies.
- Develop and maintain a website that contains data analysis tools for researchers.
- Develop any necessary tools that the professor and research assistants need for the research studies.
Other
- Attend weekly meetings to discuss the development process.
- Attend bi-weekly meetings after each cohort for debriefing and feedback from participants.
