GDIT is looking to hire a Software Developer Senior to modernize and sustain the Global Transportation Planning system for the USTRANSCOM customer, advancing the Department of Defense's mission.
Requirements
- History of developing applications and troubleshooting issues within the code
- Writing in Angular, Java along with development of scripts.
- Compiling code using shell scripts
- Required Technical Expertise: Angular, Linux, System/Software Design, GitLab and Java
- Required Skills and Abilities: Application Development, Software Development, Problem Solving, understanding network communication
- Comp TIA Sec+ - Required 6 months of hire
- 3+ years of related experience, preferably 4+ years experience of Angular (additional years can be considered in lieu of degree)
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
- Assist with all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Assist with analyzing user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
- Assists with creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
- Perform software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging
- Assist with the documentation of software or system for future maintenance and updates
Other
- Education: BS/BA in software development or related field
- Security clearance level: Active secret clearance OR previously held secret clearance preferred, must have ability to obtain interim clearance
- US citizenship required
- Travel Required Less than 10%
