Iron EagleX (IEX) is looking for a Software Developer - SME to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for defense and government clients, leveraging cutting-edge analytic and AI/ML technologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code.
- Demonstrated Rego experience for policy-based access control and authorization.
- Essential proficiency in Open Policy Agent (OPA) for defining and enforcing policies, along with familiarity with Trino for distributed SQL processing
- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs), Access Control Compliance Matrices (ACCMs), and Distributed Information Assurance Solutions (DIAS).
- Advanced skills in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation tasks.
- A strong background in Big Data technologies and methodologies for handling and processing large datasets.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Responsibilities
- Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Create modern, user-friendly front-end applications using Streamlit or similar technologies.
- Utilize web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to enhance user experience.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems.
- Build and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python and related frameworks.
- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain version control using Git to streamline collaboration and code management.

- This position is hybrid with the expectation being 3-4 days in office and 1-2 days remote per week.
- 10+ years of experience in a Software Development role.
- Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.
- An active TS/SCI security clearance is REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
