RiskSpan is seeking a Software Developer / Systems Analyst to contribute to the development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of applications and analytical tools supporting their financial services clients, and to perform system analysis, requirements documentation, and participate in business process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, or C).
- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.
- Experience with JIRA or similar project/task tracking tools.
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
- Exposure to Salesforce or Power BI development or administration.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) or certifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust software applications using Python, Java, C, and/or SQL.
- Perform system and business analysis to translate complex requirements into functional specifications.
- Create detailed documentation for system processes, user requirements, test cases, and project status reporting.
- Leverage tools such as JIRA and SQL to perform software testing and validation.
- Gather and synthesize data to support analysis and address key business questions.
Other
- 5–7+ years of experience in software development and system analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment to meet sprint goals and adapt to changing priorities.
- Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.
- Communicate technical information and insights clearly to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent written communication and documentation abilities.
- Experience working with MS Office tools, including Excel.
- Proven ability to work independently and in virtual teams.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
