SOSi is seeking a PeopleSoft Payroll Functional Analyst responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of PeopleSoft HCM Payroll to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing for their customer.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with PeopleSoft Payroll modules, including configuration, implementation, and support.
- Proficiency in SQL and PeopleSoft Query for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with PeopleSoft WorkCenters to enhance workflow and operational efficiency.
- Experience with Fluid UI for Payroll and WorkCenter enhancements.
- Knowledge of Leave Management, Base Benefits, and Time & Attendance integration with Payroll.
- Experience in payroll year-end processing (W-2, ACA)
- Strong understanding of payroll security, roles, permissions, and audit controls.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain PeopleSoft NA Payroll modules, including pay rules, deductions, base benefits, and tax compliance.
- Leverage PeopleSoft WorkCenters to streamline payroll processes and improve user productivity.
- Support quarterly and year-end activities, including tax updates, W-2 processing, and compliance reporting.
- Analyze payroll business processes and recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues, including calculation errors, data discrepancies, and integration challenges.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement patches, updates, and customizations.
- Develop and execute test plans for system upgrades, patches, and new configurations.
Other
- Ensure the system adheres to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as organizational policies.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on PeopleSoft Payroll and related modules, including U.S. Federal (USF) Payroll functionality if applicable.
- Deliver training and support to end users to enhance system adoption and proficiency.
- Validate payroll results to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational policies.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and generate payroll reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance monitoring.
- Monitor payroll system compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and organizational policies.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3–5+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft HCM/Payroll Analyst.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Top Secret clearance is required, or the ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments.
- Exposure to automated testing tools and payroll process automation.
- May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
