Design, develop, test, document and maintain production and R&D sonar and security system software in the Advanced Tactical Systems Division (ATSD) of Applied Research Laboratories (ARL).

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Git, SQL, and bash scripting.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow coding standards and testing standards as well as the ability to define and document complex software applications.
  • Ability to examine the details of complex algorithms.
  • Experience with Graphical User Interfaces in a Linux Environment.
  • Two years of Linux Development.
  • C-Sharp experience.
  • Frontend Web experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop sonar software applications and scripts in a Linux environment using C/C++, Python, and Bash.
  • Create supporting documentation for software and systems.
  • Maintain and test new and legacy code.
  • Participate in data collection exercises, data management, and analysis.
  • Support the installation and testing of equipment in field locations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, with a strong commitment to contribution and enabling the entire team.
  • Applicant must be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, and possess sound scientific judgment.
  • The position will require effective management of their own time with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Regular and punctual attendance in the workplace is required.
