OCI’s Data Platform organization is looking for a Software Development Director to enhance and differentiate the next-generation Data Services leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Requirements

  • deep understanding of product development.
  • extensive knowledge of software architecture

Responsibilities

  • build and manage a software development org, key initiatives, and roadmaps, while delivering critical projects with short, medium, and long-term objectives.
  • manage teams consisting of software engineers of all levels and software development managers responsible for software architecture and development for major components of managed database service on OCI.
  • managing and providing technical leadership at developing software that interacts closely with the core components like Compute, Networking and Storage.
  • drive major aspects of our product definition, supply to the product strategy of our solutions, and is paramount to the reliability and efficiency of large scale, fault tolerant multi-tenant database systems that customers rely on for their mission critical production workloads.
  • apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications.
  • Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
