Requirements
- Programming skills with Java on a Unix/Linux platform
- Familiar with creating API’s to be consumed by customers
- Experience with technologies including Java, Python, Kotlin, GoLang, JavaScript, React, AWS, GraphQL, REST, XML/JSON, SQL, Spring, Docker, Datadog, Splunk
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Committed and passionate about delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work well with people, be highly self-motivated and motivating to others
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable, and reliable applications and components
- Maintain existing applications and resolution of production issues
- Work with teams across Expedia Group to incorporate their services into our product
- Contribute to writing, refactoring, testing and perfecting code
- Craft clean code using design patterns and object-oriented concepts, to ensure code is highly maintainable
- Build automated regression tests
- Participate in peer code reviews and provide estimates on work
Other
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience or Master's degree in related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
- Willing to actively seek feedback from team to improve software usability and quality
- Ability to work in a flexible work model
- Compliance with E-Verify and work authorization requirements
