Lake Shore Cryotronics is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the full-cycle development of new and existing products, aiming to advance scientific exploration in physics and materials science through innovative technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development using C-Sharp/.NET and Visual Studio.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
- Experience with embedded systems and hardware testing is a plus.
- Develop software primarily using C-Sharp/.NET in Visual Studio, with occasional use of VB.NET, Java, or Python.
- Create intuitive and consistent user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for desktop (Windows Forms/WPF) and mobile (.NET MAUI) applications.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related technologies.
- Utilize Git for version control and adhere to prescribed branching strategies.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following industry best practices and proven software engineering principles.
- Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, code refactoring, and the Single Responsibility Principle.
- Develop software primarily using C-Sharp/.NET in Visual Studio, with occasional use of VB.NET, Java, or Python.
- Create intuitive and consistent user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for desktop (Windows Forms/WPF) and mobile (.NET MAUI) applications.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related technologies.
- Utilize Git for version control and adhere to prescribed branching strategies.
- Perform software verification and validation, including unit testing and QA testing.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering or applicable engineering/science curriculum or 4 years’ experience in engineering development.
- 0-2+ years of work experience in product design and development.
