Ford's Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is working on upgrading their Identity and Access Management services to comply with new API security standards and enable new features like Passkey as an MFA option. They need an engineer to backfill existing capacity and help keep up with priorities for these critical, high-demand services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in Java, Spring Boot and SQL
- 3+ years of experience with GCP, Azure or AWS
- 2 years MongoDB or NoSQL database
Responsibilities
- Perform Application Architecture and lead white board sessions
- Develop multi-cloud SpringBoot/Java API/microservices with Azure services and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Perform software engineering using Test Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Refactor API/microservices for simplification and efficiency
- Integrate and expand identity provider (IDP) services
- Develop API Load and Performance strategies that can be executed by the load and performance team
- Develop software that is Clean Code compliant

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related engineering discipline

- Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location will be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
