Zillow's Media Solutions Technology team needs to connect advertisers with hundreds of millions of customers by scaling ad experiences and building marketplaces, directly generating revenue and impacting how advertisers and customers engage.
Requirements
- 3+ years proven experience in designing, coding, and debugging web applications and backend services
- Experience with frontend development in one or more programming languages: (React, Node, NextJS, GraphQL)
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCPed, or Azure
- Experience with backend development languages: (Java, Python, Node)
- Experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps or a similar source control system
- Ability to learn and integrate new technologies as needed
- Experience with AWS stacks as well as container orchestration, i.e. Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality, well-tested software that solves real customer and business problems.
- Independently deliver clearly scoped features and enhancements with reliable quality and on-time execution.
- Operate services in production, resolving complex issues with minimal guidance and helping shape on-call practices, dashboards, metrics, and runbooks.
- Contribute to system and feature architecture discussions, identifying trade-offs and documenting design decisions.
- Communicate effectively with teammates, product partners, and stakeholders—through design docs, code reviews, and day-to-day collaboration.
- Participate actively in agile team ceremonies, planning, and retrospectives.
- Identify opportunities for technical improvements (efficiency, reliability, customer experience) within your team’s scope and bring them forward.
