Workday is looking for a Software Engineer to help drive the development and future of the Deployment Adoption Platform (DAP) platform and tools, which are designed to give implementers and customers more insight into complex deployment changes.
Requirements
- 5+ years development experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, or Scala
- Experience designing and building REST based APIs
- Experience with test frameworks for your language of choice, TDD/BDD a plus
- Experience working with agile methodologies and principles.
- Experience with distributed systems principles in a consumer internet or SaaS environment
- Familiarity with configuration management, containers, virtualization and cloud environments
- Worked on build pipelines, continuous integration, deployment and monitoring utilities
Responsibilities
- designing, implementing and leading all aspects of our tool portfolio where performance and resiliency will be essential.
- gather requirements, plan features, and deliver on designs and implementation.
- ensure engineering principles and quality are a core component of feature delivery.
- Supply ideas for continually improving the designs and scalability of the products and services delivered.
- Responsibilities include the day-to-day agile activities of the team and actively supervising delivery and metrics for the team.
- building tools that allow implementers and customers to have more insight into the most complex changes that impact their deployment.

- Bachelor’s Degree in CS or similar
- spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role).
- This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native).
