Raytheon is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to develop complex systems in C++ for the Zumwalt Software Development Team or other similar programs, focusing on creating high-performance applications for a cutting-edge Navy Destroyer Platform.
Requirements
- Experience developing software using C++.
- Experience developing software using C++ Environments
- Experience with C++ Unit Test Frameworks
- Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology.
- Experience with Atlassian, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, VS Code, Jira, Jenkins, and Junit.
- Experience in system design, development, integration/verification, production, and sustainment
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for a cutting-edge Navy Destroyer Platform.
- Be part of a successful team creating high-performance applications and be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Functional analysis of real world and test data

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- At least 2 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with technical, customer and leadership audiences.
