Orion Innovation is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure the quality and reliability of data-driven products for a client redefining core banking with a next-generation cloud-native platform.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience with JSON, RESTful APIs, and Postman
- 4+ years of experience testing against relational databases and Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
- 4+ years creating and executing comprehensive test strategies
- 2+ years of experience in Python programming
- 2+ years of implementation experience in banking or finance
- General experience with JMeter, PgAdmin, GitLab, Kafka, Jira, Confluence, Swagger, Kibana, AWS
- Experience in programming languages, preferably Postgresql, Snowsql, Go
Responsibilities
- Design and build effective testing processes to support the Data Team in testing for a fast-growing product
- Setup and maintain test environments for manual and automated testing
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases
- Automate test cases as well as write reusable scripts/tools that help the team reduce repetitive efforts
- Coordinate with Product Management and Data Engineers to deliver stable software products

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work or military experience
