InVita Healthcare Technologies is looking to ensure the quality and reliability of their critical applications supporting the blood industry by hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a QA, SDET, or software testing role.
- Strong background in manual testing, with ability to coordinate and organize test efforts across multiple releases.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, PHPUnit, or similar).
- Familiarity with PHP applications, web-based testing, and cloud-hosted environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Experience establishing or improving QA processes within a software division or team.
Responsibilities
- Lead manual test efforts, coordinate activities among manual testers, and ensure thorough coverage for critical releases.
- Help define and standardize quality practices, testing methodologies, and workflows across the division.
- Design and implement automated regression and functional test suites to reduce manual effort and strengthen release confidence.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to develop test strategies, acceptance criteria, and release readiness plans.
- Contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives as a core member of the engineering team.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects, working closely with engineers to ensure timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain clear, well-structured documentation for test cases, test plans, results, and automation frameworks.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven success working across engineering, product, and QA teams in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Ability to attend and preside over trade shows and conferences and visit client sites which include hospital settings and medical facilities.
- Ability to travel on a flexible schedule. Airplane travel is necessary.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid role with 3-days per week required to be worked in the Baltimore, MD office.
