Blueprint is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support and improve automated test infrastructure for core operating system storage and file system components, aiming to deliver best-in-class service to customers by ensuring quality signals for engineering teams.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C and C++, including debugging and code analysis
- Experience with scripting languages, particularly PowerShell
- Experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions
- Ability to analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations
- Experience writing test documentation, including test plans, scripts, and reports
- Experience with C in test or tooling scenarios
- Familiarity with storage systems, file systems, or operating system internals
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze automated test runs to identify failures and anomalies
- Triage issues to determine whether failures are caused by product defects or test issues
- Debug and fix legacy tests to reduce test noise and improve signal quality
- Convert older test frameworks into modern testing platforms and infrastructure
- Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts
- Document software defects using a bug tracking system and follow through to resolution
- Collaborate with developers to investigate high-impact product bugs
Other
- Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5–6 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering roles
- Strong collaboration skills when working with development and engineering teams
- hybrid - 3 days/week onsite
